Aguero: Terry and Ramos are the toughest defenders I’ve faced

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has labelled Chelsea defender John Terry as one of the toughest players he has faced in his career.

The Argentinian has played against Terry several times since his arrival in England five-and-a-half years ago, and could only put Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid up there with the Blues legend.

“Nowadays it is difficulty to choose. The three most difficult I’ve faced… one’s Sergio Ramos, another one would be Terry in the Premier League,” said Aguero, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

“I can also name a goalkeeper: [Iker] Casillas!”

Terry has enjoyed a stellar career, developing into one of the best defenders to have played the game, captaining both Chelsea and England during his playing days.

However, he has managed just five appearances in the league this season as he nears the end of his career at Stamford Bridge.

Terry has struggled to break into the side since Antonio Conte’s change in formation, which utilises wing-backs and only three defenders.

The skipper has led Chelsea to four Premier League titles, five FA Cups and the 2012 Champions League trophy.

Chelsea face Manchester City in 11 days’ time, when they will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table as they seek a second title in three years.
