Anthony Martial spotted with new girlfriend after splitting from wife

By Richard Johnson

Anthony Martial’s love life has made more headlines than his footballing ability of late but he now appears to be settled down with French reality star Melanie Da Cruz.

After months of controversy surrounding his relationship with the mother of his daughter – Samantha Jacquelinet – Martial attended Manchester United’s gala dinner with his new other half.

The duo looked happy as they made their way onto the red carpet to pose for pictures before joining Martial’s team-mates and manager Jose Mourinho at OId Trafford.

Pundits have suggested Martial’s form has dipped following his messy break up with his former wife as he has failed to replicate last season’s form during the first few months of the current campaign.

Martial made an instant impact in England following his £36million move from French outfit Monaco in September 2015.

The 20-year-old Frenchman, who moved to Manchester with his then expectant partner and their daughter Toto, scored on his debut against rivals Liverpool.

He scored 17 goals for the Red Devils in his first season at Old Trafford but has failed to match the dizzying heights he set during his inaugural campaign in England.

Martial has netted just two goals so far this season and missed his side’s goalless draw with Burnley at the weekend through injury.

His ex – Samantha – has not been afraid to criticise both Martial and Melanie in the English press and claims his new love interest is only with him because of his money.

She told The Sun back in August: ‘I asked her to stay away from him when we were having some problems and she agreed that she would. But she wasn’t true to her word. She claims it’s not just about sex with them — it’s love.

‘I will never be friends with Melanie, her behaviour has been disgusting. She knew all about me and Peyton. Melanie knew Anthony as they grew up in the same area of Paris but she was never interested when he was just a teenager who was good at football. Now he has money and attention she is interested.’

On the pitch, Martial will be hoping to feature against Fenerbahce in the Europa League on Thursday before United face Swansea at the Liberty Stadium ahead of the international break.
