Arsenal legend admits he wont be surprised if Sanchez leaves the club

Ian Wright has admitted that he would leave Arsenal in the summer if the Gunners legend was in Alexis Sanchez’s position.
The Chile international was left on the bench for Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to top-four rivals Liverpool in the Premier League at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane scored first-half goals to put the Reds in charge of the Premier League clash and raise questions about Arsene Wenger’s decision to omit Sanchez.

Unsurprisingly, Wenger turned to his star player at half-time and Sanchez wasted no time having an impact on the clash after the forward teed up Danny Welbeck in the second half.
However, Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum restored Liverpool’s two-goal cushion with minutes remaining at Anfield.
Sanchez still hasn’t signed a new long-term deal with Arsenal with just 18 months remaining on his current contract at the north London club.
Speaking to BT Sport about Sanchez’s future at Arsenal following their 3-1 loss to Liverpool, Wright said:
“It’s a worry. We’re not talking about Arsenal who are challenging to win the Premier League. We’re talking about Arsenal who are looking to get back into the top four. Our best player has been dropped. He came on and he proved that he shouldn’t have been.”
Asked whether he would stay in Sanchez’s position, Wright added: “No I wouldn’t. If I can’t get into the Arsenal team when they’re coming to places like Anfield and you need to win to get into the top four.
“There’s unrest around them. Why would I want to stay? Arsenal aren’t challenging for anything.”
Sanchez has scored 17 times in 26 games in the 2016-17 Premier League campaign – which is the joint-best return in the English top flight this term.
Arsenal are in fifth place and two points behind Liverpool after their 3-1 loss.
