Barcelona players seemed devoid of any kind of pressure as they trained on the Emirates surface ahead of this evening’s Champions League last-16 first leg against Arsenal.
Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Neymar and co were all smiles as they went through their paces before the match against Arsene Wenger’s side.
The trio will be looking to get the better of Petr Cech in the Gunners’ goal, and Barca boss Luis Enrique has waxed lyrical about his ‘magic’ forward line.
“I just say “abracadabra” before the game and then the magic happens,” he said.
“That’s all I say. Honestly, I always work very hard and I’ve always had the chance to have good strikers in my squad.
“To be honest, it’s simple. In most situations you don’t even have to wish them to do something – they are already doing it.”
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger has revealed he will have a ‘little word’ with Alexis Sanchez prior to the tonight’s match.
It will be the first time the Chilean has come up against his former clubs since swapping the Nou Camp for the Emirates.
“He will be fired up, but that doesn’t mean he will be in the right zone,” Wenger said.
“The performance zone is where you are focused and relaxed and that is what is difficult in sport.
“Sometimes when you are too focused you are not relaxed, so it’s a zone where everything looks easy and sometimes when you play against your former club you are not necessarily in that zone.”
Asked if he would have a chat with Sanchez to emphasise his point, Wenger replied: “A little word, yes.
“He can help us to win the game. But I know that not one player will win us the game. We need a top level team performance where everybody is spot on in the discipline and sharp physically and ready to work for the team.
“If everyone does that then maybe Alexis can make the difference but it’s not especially on him. We need all our players.”
Arsenal legend and former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry paid a visit to the Catalans players as they trained.
