Bayern Munich hit complication in negotiations to sign Sanchez

Bayern Munich are looking at alternative transfer targets to Alexis Sanchez as they are unwilling to match the Arsenal forward’s wage demands, according to reports in Germany.

Sport Bild claim that the Chile international is demanding €25 million (£22m) a year but the German champions are refusing to meet his demands.

It’s also reported that Bayern’s hierarchy are not holding out much hope of securing a deal for Sanchez and are now exploring other options.

Serge Gnabry has already been signed from Werder Bremen to compete for a role on their left flank, but Bayern are also considering a move for Atletico Madrid’s Yannick Carrasco, although there are already complications.

Atletico’s transfer ban means that the club are unlikely to sell, while Carrasco’s contract runs until 2022, meaning that he will command a high asking price.

Bayern, however, have completed another deal as Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso arrived in Munich to undergo a medical on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old, who was also linked with Arsenal and Chelsea, will cost the German champions £35m.
