Conte has belief in Chelsea tactics despite Hazard’s desire to play at No.10

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte feels that his side’s current tactical system is the right one despite Eden Hazard saying he wants to feature in a different position.

Hazard declared earlier this week that despite trying his best on the left- wing he wants to play as a No.10 going forward for Chelsea.

The Belgian international has played regularly on the flank since he joined the Blues in 2012 and was named the PFA Player of the Year after impressing in the role in the 2014-2015 campaign.

And despite Hazard’s desire to play in the middle Conte has indicated that he will continue to select the 25-year-old in a wide position.

The Italian coach reasons that Hazard suits the role and allows Chelsea to play more compactly without losing any of their attacking threat.

Conte said: “We are finding the best solution for the players.

“I think this is the right way, to have a team more compact, but with players that are very offensive and to create many offensive situations. I think this is a good way.”

Chelsea are set to take on reigning league champions Leicester City in Saturday afternoon’s early kick-off at Stamford Bridge.
