Conte will lead a revolution at Chelsea – Ranieri

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri believes that Antonio Conte will turn things around at Chelsea and is anticipating a revolution at Stamford Bridge next term.

Conte will become the Blues next permanent manager in the summer when his commitments with the Italian national team have concluded.

Ranieri, who managed Chelsea between 2000 and 2004, is expecting big things from Conte in west London which could bring about a whole new era at the club.

“He is a tough man, it is hard for him to change because he will make a little revolution there,” Ranieri said.

“I am waiting for it, I await the revolution when he arrives. He changes everything. He is very concentrated in his job, the little things. He wants to care for everything, nutrition, everything.”

Conte won three consecutive Serie A titles during his time as Juventus manager but he will have a massive task on his hands next season following Chelsea’s disappointing campaign.

Chelsea cannot finish higher than ninth in the table and although interim coach Guus Hiddink has managed to improve their performances they are still some way off the standards that Jose Mourinho set last season.

Ranieri’s Leicester City, who upset the odds and won the Premier League, were the last team to face Mourinho’s Chelsea as they beat them 2-1 at the King Power Stadium back in December.

The Foxes will be aiming to complete the double over Chelsea this afternoon and cap their season off in style in what is sure to be an emotional return to Stamford Bridge for Ranieri.
