Coutinho hails Messi, Suarez and Neymar as his top three players amid Barcelona links

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has revealed that Barcelona‘s famous attacking trio ‘MSN’ are his favourite players, snubbing Cristiano Ronaldo in the process.

The Ballon d’Or takes place in January 2017 and many are unsure who will take the top gong next year, with a number of the nominees having every chance of getting their hands on it.

Among those to be considered favourites are Barcelona stars Neymar and Luis Suarez – the latter a former teammate of Coutinho at Liverpool.

However, many believe that once again it will be a battle between two of the best in Lionel Messi and Ronaldo, with the latter potentially taking the edge after Champions League and Euro 2016 success.

Despite Ronaldo’s fantastic performances over the last year, Coutinho feels that it is Barcelona’s front three who are the best in the world – they are his favourite at least anyway.

“My top three players in the world are the MSN trio,” Coutinho told FourFourTwo.

“One is fast, the other is skilful, then there’s the top scorer, so they really complete each other.”

Liverpool fans may be slightly wary about Coutinho’s comments, considering the 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a potential move to the Nou Camp in recent months.
