Dele Alli is Real Madrid quality, says Roberto Carlos

Dele Alli is Real Madrid quality, says Roberto Carlos

Former Brazil international believes Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli is ‘undoubtedly good enough for Real Madrid‘.

The 21-year-old has once again surpassed expectations this season and recently became just the fourth player to win back to back PFA Young Player of the Year awards.

Alli’s 17 league goals in 33 games this season has warranted plenty of praise and it is certainly no surprise that a number of clubs are interested in the attacking midfielder.

Real Madrid have often been credited with a potential move for the former MK Dons starlet, and one man who believes Alli would slot in seamlessly is former Los Blancos left-back Carlos.

“Yes, definitely!” Carlos told The Sun, when asked if he thought Alli would suit Real Madrid. “He’s a brilliant player. I love him, I’ve seen him play some great games in England.

“Of course, it’s not up to me — transfers will, of course, be decided by the president. But, we definitely could sign him. He is undoubtedly good enough for Real Madrid.”

Alli netted in Sunday’s 2-0 win over Arsenal, which guarantees that the Lilywhites will finish above their rivals this season for the first time in 22 years.

Spurs are still in the hunt for the title, but Chelsea seem set to run away with it, with the Blues currently four points clear.
