Diego Costa fires another shot at the media following Chelsea return

Diego Costa took to Instagram to fire another shot at the media following his return to Chelsea‘s starting XI on Sunday evening.

Costa posted the following image on Instagram Stories on his official account:

The Spaniard was dropped by Antonio Conte last week following rumours suggesting that the pair had fallen out over his fitness, as well as a potential big-money move to China. He subsequently missed Chelsea’s excellent
3-0 victory at Leicester City, with fans and pundits alike criticising him for the reported reasons behind his absence.

However Costa was brought back into the fold over the weekend, as the Blues looked to further strengthen their position in this season’s Premier League title-race, boosted by their rivals all dropping points the previous day. The
28-year-old started at Stamford Bridge as Conte’s men faced Hull City, and made an immediate impact.

Costa coolly converted Victor Moses’ low cross in first half stoppage-time to set Chelsea on their way, as they beat Marco Silva’s men 2-0. Off the back of an all-round excellent display, in which the striker’s goal celebration spoke
volumes, he took to Instagram Stories to post the above message, hitting out at his naysayers again.

Costa has scored 15 goals and created 28 chances in 20 Premier League appearances this season, with a shot accuracy of 63%, as Chelsea sit top on 55 points, eight clear of Arsenal in second.

Next up for them is a home clash with Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round on Saturday, before taking on Liverpool at Anfield.
