Fabregas appears to mock former Chelsea teammate Oscar amid China transfer speculation

Cesc Fabregas has taken a subtle dig at former Chelsea teammate Oscar by suggesting he is too young to contemplate a move to join the Brazilian in China.

The Spain international struggled to win over current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte initially, but appears to playing his way back into the Italian’s good books.

The former Arsenal captain turned in a sensational individual performance in Saturday’s 3-1 win over Swansea, which extended Chelsea’s lead at the top of the table to 11 points.

Despite his impressive form, Fabregas has continually been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge and the possibility of moving to China has even been mentioned.

Oscar, 25, completed a big-money move to Shanghai SIPG in January, worth a dizzying £400,000-a-week, but Fabregas insists he has no intention of following suit.

‘China – I’m only 29,’ he said. ‘For sure, it’s Chelsea I’m thinking about. Until the day Chelsea tell me they don’t want me, I can leave – and it happens to everyone. Then you have to move on.

‘When my brain says you can’t do it anymore then I will move, probably away from Europe.

‘When you’ve been at the top…Arsenal, Barcelona, the Spanish team has been so successful.

‘I don’t want to plan things. But when I feel I’m not at the top, top level any more then it will be the right time to go.

‘But for now, it’s all about Chelsea and performing here. Remember I’m only 29, I’ve played a long time.’
