Fabregas reveals the one difference between Conte and Mourinho

Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas says Antonio Conte is the most tactical manager he’s ever played under.

The Spaniard played under the likes of Arsene Wenger, Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho before the Italian arrived at Stamford Bridge.

Conte’s start in west London was far from ideal but a switch to 3-4-3 in September revived Chelsea’s season and they were crowned champions last week after a 1-0 win against West Brom.

Fabregas has enjoyed a productive season despite not being a regular starter and Conte is determined to keep him this summer.

And Fabregas has done his chances of staying at Stamford Bridge no harm by claiming Conte is tactically superior to Mourinho and Guardiola.

‘Conte is something else,’ Fabregas told Cadena Ser.

‘We have run a lot this season, lots of gym work and sprints. We did very well, the team was phenomenal physically. There is a lot of pressure to go up and down [the pitch].

‘He is the coach who worked the most tactically, more than with [Jose] Mourinho and [Pep] Guardiola.

‘We have to take into account that this year we have not had to play in the Champions League, something that will not happen next season

‘Conte is meticulous. Until everything is done, training is not finished.’
