Guardiola cuts off Manchester City players wifi

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has revealed that manager Pep Guardiola cuts off the players’ wifi in an attempt to get them to bond.

Guardiola is known for his strict regimes and Zabaleta disclosed that the City boss is eager for his players to communicate face-to-face as opposed to via the internet.

As reported by the Mirror, Zabaleta said: “He makes us have breakfast and eat lunch all together at the club, at the training centre.

“The internet is cut off. The dressing room is on the bottom floor, three floors down. There isn’t even 3G connection there. We are incommunicado there.

“You always want and dream to be trained by the best coaches, and today I have the opportunity to work with one of the best.

“Actually, you learn a lot, especially the way how you should live.

“Beyond the knowledge of his idea, you see the passion with which he lives for football.”

Guardiola’s methods certainly appear to have had the desired effect so far, with his side currently top of the Premier League.

City’s winning run in the Premier League came to a halt on Sunday as they were beaten 2-0 by Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane, but for the most part Guardiola’s team have been excellent at the start of their quest to win to win the title.

Zabaleta endured a difficult time against Tottenham as he made several mistakes and his lack of pace was exposed, but the Argentina international has started the season generally well, averaging four defensive actions per game in the Premier League.
