Ibrahimovic opens up about relationship with Pogba

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has talked up his playing relationship with Paul Pogba, saying that he and the midfielder enjoy working with each other on the pitch for Manchester United.

Pogba laid on the assist for Ibrahimovic on Wednesday night which allowed the Swede to score a late winning goal for the Red Devils against Crystal Palace.

The duo have endeared themselves to the United fans since they both moved to the club in the summer and indeed the pair have developed a strong understanding on the field for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Ibrahimovic is delighted with how he and Pogba are playing together, saying that he and the 23-year-old enjoy each other’s company.

And the 35-year-old believes that it was their understanding, along with the entire team’s hard work, that saw United get the victory against the Eagles.

“We talk a lot and we try to help each other a lot,” Zlatan told MUTV.

“I think he likes to play with me and I like to play with him too. But it is not only about us two, it is the whole team.

“We all put in the hard work. You could see we were not performing on top, but still we got the winner. Sometimes you hit the top and don’t get the winner, like in the last couple of weeks.”

Both Ibrahimovic and Pogba arrived at Old Trafford ahead of the 2016-17 campaign and have quickly developed into key figures for the Red Devils.
