Ibrahimovic talks like The Terminator – Northampton defender

Northampton Town defender Gabriel Zakuani has mocked Manchester United forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic, claiming that the 34-year-old talks like The Terminator.

The experienced Swede entered the fray as a substitute in United’s 3-1 EFL Cup victory away to Northampton and, although he didn’t have much of an impact on the game in terms of his overall performance, Zakuani noted that Ibrahimovic was constantly issuing instructions to his younger team-mates.

As reported by Manchester Evening News, Zakuani said: “He talks a lot on the pitch but he talks a bit like a robot, kind of like Terminator. It’s sort of in slow motion.

“You can see his influence on their team. He’ll tell a few of the players that are rushing past him to just calm down and relax on the ball.

“You can see straight away that he has the respect of everyone at the club.”

Ibrahimovic has already won the league title in four different countries, but United’s form will certainly have to improve if he is to lift the Premier League title at the end of the campaign.

The striker has started his United career in impressive form, scoring four goals in five Premier League appearances, and his experience could be of good use to United this season.

The victory over Northampton was pivotal for United as it ended their run of three successive defeats and, although their overall performance wasn’t especially convincing, the result will surely have given Jose Mourinho’s players a significant boost.
