Ibrahimovic’s woeful form continues for Manchester United

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is woefully out of form and the stats speak for itself in that regard.

The 35-year-old joined the Red Devils on a free transfer in the summer from Paris Saint-Germain and hit the ground running, scoring four goals in his first four league games.

However, Ibrahimovic has not scored in the Premier League since that 2-1 home defeat to Manchester City on 10 September, which was 44 days ago.

Whilst the former Sweden international has managed one goal in that period in the Europa League, he seems completely out of sorts and his latest performance against Chelsea backed that up.

Since that Manchester derby defeat, Ibrahimovic has played in five league games and managed a hefty 23 shots without return.

What is particularly interesting is that the colossal striker has also committed 17 fouls, which perhaps provides signs that he is growing increasingly frustrated.

Jose Mourinho will need his main man to really step up in the coming games or the striker – who netted 38 Ligue 1 goals last season – could find himself dropped for others sooner rather than later.
