Isaac Success’ agent confirms he will join Watford

Watford appear to have fended off competition from a number of sides from Isaac Success, with his agent confirming that Granada will sell their striker to no club but the Hornets.

The 20-year-old has been dubbed as one of the brightest young strikers in Spanish football and this season has excelled for Granada’s frontline, despite their indifferent season.

Whilst the well-built Success has just six La Liga goals to his name this season, Watford have been eager to bring the Nigerian to Vicarage Road ahead of the summer transfer window.

Watford and Granada are both owned by the Pozzo family, and that appears to have worked in the favour of the former, with Quique Flores’ side beating Paris Saint-Germain, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan to his signature.

Success’ agent has also confirmed that Granada are not keen to sell the striker to anyone by Flores’ men, considering both sides are owned by the same family.

“Granada are not releasing him to any other club except Watford,” his agent, Dominic Egbukwu, told reporters.

“Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have approached us. Plenty of teams want him.

“Watford and Granada are still negotiating. The wages are still being discussed. The only transfer fee Watford will have to pay is a 10 per cent sell-on clause to BJ Foundation Academy [his first club in Nigeria].”

Success has been a regular for Granada this season in La Liga, playing 30 times for Jose Manuel Gonzalez Lopez’s side as they look to steer clear of relegation.

Granada are currently 16th on the table on 36 points, but are just one point away from the relegation zone heading into the last two games of the season.
