Kanu predicted his hat-trick in legend charity match against Milan

A Nwanko Kanu hat-trick inspired the Arsenal Legends to a 4-2 victory over Milan Glorie at the Emirates.

The Gunners faithful were treated to some of the finest talents from the past in the charity game for the Arsenal Foundation.

As well as three from the Nigerian, Robert Pires combined with former wide man Freddie Ljungberg to also register.

Christian Vieri was at the double for the Rossoneri, but it was the Gunners’ day.

Kanu had backed himself to score a hat-trick before the The Arsenal Foundation charity match against AC Milan.

Kanu is a cult hero among the Gunners after he scored a stunning hat-trick against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in 1999.

The Nigerian international was taking part in a Twitter Q&A with fans on Friday night, when he said: “It’s all about having fun for a good cause. That said, I reckon I could score three goals!”

Kanu will played alongside Robert Pires, Marc Overmars, David Seaman and Freddie Ljunberg in a side managed by current Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.
