Former Inter Milan and Juventus defender Lucio has predicted that old teammate Paul Pogba is capable of achieving great things with Manchester United.
Pogba completed his return to United over the summer from Juventus for a world record transfer fee, having helped the Old Lady to four consecutive league titles during his time at the Italian club.
The 23-year-old is yet to make a lasting impression for the Red Devils following his move back to Old Trafford but has in recent weeks shown moments of class for Jose Mourinho’s side.
And Lucio, who played with Pogba for six months at the start of his Juventus career, has said the Frenchman possesses all the qualities to help guide United back to greatness in the Premier League.
When asked if Pogba can achieve great things at Old Trafford, Lucio told Goal: “I think Pogba has everything in him to do that at Manchester United.
“He’s got a big personality; he’s strong and powerful and has talent like all successful English Premier League players.
“The experience that I had with him was a very good one – he trains well, works hard and is a good guy.”
Pogba’s efforts include two Premier League goals this season but United find themselves outside the top four with eight points separating them from fourth-placed Arsenal.
