Man City release new kit as Iheanacho joins Guardiola on stage to unveil home strip

Manchester City unveiled their new Nike home kit along with their manager Pep Guardiola on Sunday.

Kelechi Iheanacho joined Guardiola on stage at ‘Cityzens weekend’ to model the new strip for their upcoming season in the Premier League, and it will set supporters back £101 to buy.

Players from the youth sides and women’s team joined Iheanacho in presenting the kit to the fans in attendance, before Guardiola affectionately ruffled his striker’s hair as he walked past him.

The shirt (£60), blue shorts (£28) and white socks (£13) are available online.

On their official website, City write: ‘Befitting Guardiola’s renowned attention to detail, the club’s new match and training apparel incorporates cutting-edge Nike AeroSwift technology designed to enhance mobility, reduce weight and remove the distractions that hamper performance.

‘The new home kit combines the club’s traditional City blue with darker blue detailing that takes its cues from the colour of the new crest’s text and trim.’

The word ‘CITY’ is also included on the back of the collar, while ‘EST 1894’ features on the inside of the cuffs.
