Mikel, Moses make Chelsea 24-man squad for pre-season tour of Austria

Nigeria internationals John Mikel Obi and compatriot Victor Moses have both been included in Chelsea’s 24-man squad for pre-season tour of Austria.

The Blues confirmed their 24-man squad for the tour of Austria this pre- season as John Terry, Diego Costa and Willian have all been included in new manager Antonio Conte’s squad.

The Blues face Rapid Vienna in the Allianz Stadion this evening in the Italian’s first game as Chelsea boss, while they finish their short trip across Europe against WAC RZ Pellets in midweek before jetting off to America.

For their tour of Austria, Conte has taken a squad which is mixed with plenty of first-team stars and a host of the club’s promising youngsters.

The Blues confirmed the squad selection via their official website, and Conte’s biggest names on the tour are Costa, Willian – who has just signed a new long-term contract – Asmir Begovic, Oscar and Branislav Ivanovic among others.

Aside from the more established names, the Italian has taken a few fringe players with the likes of Victor Moses, Christian Atsu, Papy Djilobodji and Nathaniel Chalobah all taking their seats on the plane to Austria.

Whether many of them play is another matter entirely, but Conte has the chance to consider the talent that he has at his disposal heading into his debut season in England.

Full squad: Asmir Begovic, Branislav Ivanovic, Oscar, John Obi Mikel, Kenedy, Loic Remy, Diego Costa, Nemanja Matic, Matt Miazga, Willian, Ruben Loftus- Cheek, John Terry, Jamal Blackman, Baba Rahman, Bertrand Traore, Victor Moses, Michael Hector, Jordan Houghton, Ola Aina, Papy Djilobodji, Christian Atsu, Nathaniel Chalobah, Matej Delac and Cristian Cuevas.
