Mikel taunts Pogba as he welcomes him back to the Premier League

Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel welcomed Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba back to England, but in a rather different and tongue-in-cheek manner.

The 23-year-old completed his world-record return to Old Trafford earlier this week, signing a five-year deal after Manchester United coughed up £89 million for him.

The France international, who only just linked up with his new side after his exertions with the national team at Euro 2016, is not expected to be fit for the start of the season.

But, Pogba will certainly be raring to go when Manchester United face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in October, where Mikel will be eager to rekindle some fond memories of the 2014 World Cup.

The central midfielder took to Twitter on Friday morning to welcome back Pogba to the Premier League, but jokingly posted a vine of the Nigeria international nutmegging the new Man Utd man during the World Cup two years ago.

It was certainly a tongue-in-cheek comment, but Pogba will be eager to get all three points and have the last laugh when he travels to the capital to face Mikel’s Chelsea side in just over two months.

Chelsea’s first game of the new season is on Monday against West Ham United, whilst Manchester United travel to Bournemouth 24 hours earlier.
