Mourinho frustrated Man Utd have to wait 15 days to react against Liverpool

Jose Mourinho has voiced his frustration about Manchester United having to wait 15 days before their next match against Liverpool, following their 1-1 draw with Stoke City.

The Red Devils boss also touched on the subject of the team not having the
players to work with, but remains positive that the side have to be happy with their performance.

With United having secured three consecutive wins, the draw against Stoke – who are yet to win a game this season – came as a disappointment to fans, but he praised the way they reacted.

“It’s frustrating because the result is not good, it’s frustrating because we don’t have a game in three or four days to play again, it’s frustrating because we don’t have the players to work with, but that’s football and I think everybody is frustrated but we have to be happy with the quality of our performance,” Mourinho told the club’s official website.

“I think the fans are disappointed with the result but the reaction also shows that it was an afternoon where they know we did everything.”

Anthony Martial secured the team with the goal after 69 minutes, but United were denied a win when Joe Allen netted with nine minutes of normal time to go.

The French forward has now scored one goal and made two assists in six games under Mourinho.

United face Jurgen Klopp’s side after the international break, where they’ll be aiming to secure a win to get them back on track – with Liverpool having won their last four games.
