Neymar: I would like to join the Premier League

Brazil international footballer Neymar has revealed his desire to someday play in the Premier League.

The 25-year-old, who joined Barcelona from boyhood club Santos in 2013, currently has four years left on his contract.

It remains to be seen whether Neymar honours the deal he signed last July with him admitting playing in England is a dream.

“The Premier League is a championship that amazes me. I like the playing style and the teams. And who knows, someday, I would like to play at it, yes,” he said, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

“I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool — these are the teams that are always there fighting.

“And then you have high-level coaches like Mourinho and Guardiola. These are coaches with whom any player would like to work.”

Neymar is enjoying another productive season at the Camp Nou having been responsible for 10 assists more than any player in La Liga.

However, it’s not quite the best across Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues with Morgan Sanson and Gylfi Sigurdsson of Montpellier then Marseille and Swansea City respectively on 11 each.

That being said, if we extend to all competitions, no one has managed to do better than Neymar who has produced 23 goals.

Since arriving in Spain the forward has played 176 times for Barcelona scoring 99 goals and creating a further 76.
