Neymar: It is now much easier to play at Barcelona

Improved terms will keep Neymar at the Camp Nou until 2021 and the Brazilian was satisfied with the new deal and the shape his future is beginning to take.

Opening up on a difficult adaptation period, the winger shared what it was like to join the Blaugrana, and reflected on his years at the club.

“It is now much easier to play at Barcelona,” Neymar said. “It is really incredible that with all that the players here have won, they are still humble.

“Coming from Brazil, the play, the tactics, everything is different, and it was difficult to adapt at first.”

As the player continues to grow and develop, Neymar took the oportunity to praise coach Luis Enrique and all that he has done to contribute to the player he has become.

“It is important to have a good coach that can help you on and off the pitch,” Neymar said. “For me, he’s the best coach I’ve ever had.”

Alongside his current coach, Neymar also mentioned how much ex-Blaugrana right-back Dani Alves has helped him professionally and personally.

“Alves has been very important to me,” he said of his compatriot and former teammate. “I owe him a lot and miss him because he was always lifting up the mood and joking around.

“I have friends but none are like Dani [Alves] – there is nobody quite like him.”
