Egypt vs Nigeria: Siasia Drops Iheanacho as Moses returns

Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has made three changes to the team’s line-up as they get set to face Egypt in a Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Alexandria this evening.

According to the line-up released early by the Nigeria Football Federation Twitter handle, goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi of South African club Chippa United gets the nod to replace ill first choice Carl Ikeme, while Kelechi Iheanacho is dropped to the bench.

West Ham star Victor Moses, who came off the bench on Friday, will start in place of Moses Simon.

Akpeyi was on the bench in the reverse clash in Kaduna on Friday, while Manchester City forward Iheanacho was on from the start.

Iheanacho is replaced in the starting line-up by Aminu Umar, who came on for him in Kaduna.

The back four of Abdullahi Shehu, Efe Ambrose, Godfrey Oboabona and Stanley Amuzie retain their places in the starting XI.

Mikel Obi and goalscorer Oghenekaro Etebor keep their places in central midfield, with Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa also starting.
