Pogba says Manchester United might be cursed!

Paul Pogba has joked Manchester United’s players will soon believe they are under a curse if they do not arrest their run of home draws.

United have been held by Stoke City, Burnley, Arsenal and West Ham in their least four top-flight matches at Old Trafford, contributing to the club’s worst start to a Premier League season.

Pogba provided the assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s leveller in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with the Hammers and hopes a hoodoo-quelling victory is not far away.

“We’re going to start to think we’re cursed,” Pogba told SFR Sport. “It doesn’t matter which team comes here, we dominate them, be it Arsenal or West Ham.

“Our luck will change at one time or another, and it’s then that we’ll have to take it.

“I’m still confident because we create chances. It’ll come. I’m confident in my team. We just have to pay attention to the small details.

“We conceded a daft goal [against West Ham], against Arsenal it was also the small details. I’m still confident, it’ll come right. We are dropping silly points, but it’ll come right.”

Following a summer of heavy spending, much was expected of United ahead of this term, with the quartet of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Pogba all arriving at Old Trafford. They made a perfect start, winning the Community Shield and their opening three Premier League fixtures, but it all went wrong from there.

Mourinho’s men have since won just two of their next 10 top flight games, with the latest disappointment coming against West Ham United on Sunday, drawing 1-1 despite dominating the clash. To make matters worse, Pogba picked up his fifth booking of the season for a dive, earning a suspension.

With the teams around them beginning to pull away ahead of the hectic winter schedule, the 23-year-old admits that United have dropped some needless points, before claiming they can still bounce back.

“We just have to pay attention to the small details,” Pogba told SFR Sport (via the Mirror). “Today we conceded a daft goal, against Arsenal it was also the small details. I’m still confident it will come right. We are dropping silly points, but it will come.”

The France international has scored two goals and created 23 chances in 12 Premier League appearances this term, winning 53% of his duels, as United sit sixth on 20 points, eight adrift of the top four.

Next up for them is another home clash with West Ham in the EFL Cup quarter- finals on Wednesday, before taking on Everton at Goodison Park.
