PSG agree £61m transfer of Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will leave Borussia Dortmund and join Paris Saint-Germain in a £61million deal this summer, according to a report in France.

Yahoo Sport France claim the Gabon striker, who finished as the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer last season, has agreed a contract worth £168,000 a week.

It is also claimed that Aubameyang will pick up a whopping £5.25m signing-on fee when he puts pen to paper with the Ligue 1 giants.

According to the report, only a few details need to be finalised before the 27-year-old links up with Edinson Cavani and Co in France.

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez is said to have been PSG’s top target this summer, but the Chilean has interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Aubameyang told Dortmund he wanted to leave this summer before helping his side beat Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 in Saturday’s German Cup final.

German newspaper Bild reported that the former Saint-Etienne star told the club of his desire for a fresh start amid interest from his former club AC Milan and the Chinese Super League.

But it now appears that PSG have won the race to sign Aubameyang after offering a huge financial package.

Manchester City were in talks over a £58m deal for the striker last summer, but Pep Guardiola has turned his attention to Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe and Sanchez.
