Rashford reveals signed shirt and message sent to him by Beckham

Manchester United‘s Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to reveal that England legend David Beckham has given him a signed shirt, along with a few words of advice.

Rashford’s sensational breakthrough in the Premier League this season for the Red Devils, which started in February with two goals on his full debut in the Europa League, lead to the 18-year-old being named in England’s squad for this summers Euros.

At the tournament the striker came off of the bench twice and impressed with his cameos, having scored just minutes into his international debut earlier in the summer against Australia.

The striker’s form has led to high praise from pundits and a number of former United players and Rashford has shown on Twitter that the latest person to be in touch is none other than former captain Beckham.

Rashford shared an image of a Beckham shirt, complete with a No.7, that the now retired midfielder had signed for the youngster and Beckham wished the United forward well for the rest of his career.

Beckham’s message reads: “Good luck and continue working hard and playing with joy and passion.”

Having impressed so highly last season the onus is now on Rashford to show new manager Jose Mourinho that he can continue to play at the highest level in the new season.
