REPORT: Rashford not allowed into Man United first-team dressing room despite his heroics

Louis van Gaal and Ryan Giggs have reportedly decided not to allow Manchester United youngsters, such as Marcus Rashford, into the senior changing room at Carrington.

Due to an ongoing ‘injury crisis’, United have been forced into deploying numerous academy graduates in the first-team since the turn of the year.

Defenders Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have impressed, whilst Rashford has stolen the headlines after a remarkable set of debuts.

He struck a brace on his first Europa League appearance, in a 5-1 win over FC Midtjylland, before also netting twice against Arsenal on his Premier League bow.

Most recently, he scored the winning goal in his Manchester derby debut, as the Red Devils beat ‘noisy neighbours’ Manchester City 1-0 at the Etihad.

That took the teenager’s senior goal tally to five, but according to the Sunday People, he is still not allowed in the same dressing room as his more experienced colleagues at the United training ground.

The report claims that the decision has been made by manager Van Gaal and assistant Giggs in order to keep the starlets “grounded”, with Rashford et al. joining the Under-21 side before and after their first-team training sessions.

Furthermore, the source suggests that the more experienced players eat their lunch separately to the youngsters who have enjoyed recent promotions.

Rashford has surprisingly converted 100% of the shots he’s fired in the Premier League.

The England Under-20 international has also registered one assist, whilst displaying a superior pass accuracy (83%) to any other Red Devils forward in 2015/16.

In the absence of Wayne Rooney, Rashford will presumably retain his place in the side for United’s next fixture – a home clash with Everton on 3rd April.
