Scholes: Arsenal lack the liver to beat Tottenham

In an assessment that Arsenal fans will b loath to accept, former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has delivered a damning verdict on Arsenal’s chances in the North Londen derby against Tottenham this Saturday.

Scholes says he doubts whether Arsenal have the “balls” to beat Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Saturday to get their Premier League title bid back on track.
The Gunners suffered another blow to their Premier League title hopes on Wednesday night as they were pegged back and beaten 2-1 by Swansea City at Emirates Stadium.
That result left Arsene Wenger’s men six points adrift of the top of the table and three points behind Spurs heading into Saturday’s crunch north London derby showdown.
However, former United midfielder Scholes has questioned the north London side’s mentality and feels that a victory for Tottenham would all but end Arsenal’s title hopes.
Speaking on BT Sport on Wednesday night, Scholes said: “They [Spurs] can virtually put Arsenal away with a win.
“The question about Arsenal is – have Arsenal got the bottle to go there and win a game after the two results they’ve just had? I doubt whether they’ve got the bottle or the balls to go on and do it.”
Arsenal’s defeat by Swansea came just days after they lost 3-2 to Manchester City at Old Trafford in the Premier League. Before that, the Gunners were beaten 2-0 by Barcelona in the Champions League.
