Tammy Abraham makes Bristol City history after scoring 23 goals

Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham enjoyed a fruitful loan spell with Bristol City this season and made history by picking up all three major honours at their end of season awards ceremony.

The 19-year-old striker joined the Ashton Gate outfit last summer in a bid to further his first team experience and did exactly that by netting 23 goals in 41 Championship appearance – only Leeds United’s Chris Wood (27) scored more across the entire division.

As a result he produced a clean sweep at the club’s end of season awards, as reported by their official website as he scooped the Top Scorer as well as both Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year honours as recognition for a standout year.

No player in the club’s history had picked up all three trophies in the same campaign, the closest was when Matthew Hill and Cole Skuse had won the Player and Young Player awards.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for Abraham as his contract with the Robins has come to an end and there has been reports that he is to be offered a new contract at Stamford Bridge as a reward for impressing in the Championship.
