Thiago Silva’s agent refuses to rule out Chelsea move

Paris Saint-Germain star Thiago Silva may be joining Chelsea in the next year as his agent has refused to rubbish such reports.

Antonio Conte took over at Chelsea in the summer and made a huge addition to his defence right at the end of the transfer window with David Luiz, who arrived from PSG for £34 million.

He hasn’t helped improve matters in defence, though, with the Blues conceding two goals against each of Liverpool, Arsenal, Swansea City and Leicester City before finally keeping a clean sheet at the weekend against Hull City.

Some reports claimed that Conte was looking back to Paris to sign Luiz’s former partner, Thiago Silva, and the Brazilian’s agent has refused to rubbish such talk.

“Chelsea are a big club. And the English league is the best in the world,” Tonietto told Sport Witness.

“We’re not negotiating a new contract, let’s see what happens before December. Thiago’s deal ends on June 30th 2017 if PSG don’t qualify for the Champions League. Everything is possible in football.”

The 32-year-old has overcome injury problems early in the season to get back into the PSG side and played in their last three Ligue 1 games.

In that time he has completed 95% of his passes and won 70% of his duels.
