Willian refuses to pick between Courtois and Cech when naming five-a-side team

Willian refused to pick between Thibaut Courtois and Petr Cech when choosing his dream five-a-side team, with the Chelsea attacker naming both goalkeepers in the side.

The Brazilian has played with a host of top-class players in his career, both domestically and internationally, enjoying great success. The 28-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge back in 2013 from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, and immediately began to show the form that made him a wanted man during his six-year stint at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Willian has won the League Cup and the Premier League title with the Blues, while impressing many with his displays last season during a disastrous campaign. As his teammates struggled to show any kind of form under Jose Mourinho and Guus Hiddink, he was consistently excellent, winning the club’s Player of the Year award.

The winger has carried that form into the new season under new boss Antonio Conte, and following the latest round of Premier League fixtures he’s named his dream five-a-side team from players he’s played with throughout his career.

However Willian was met with an immediate dilemma when naming his goalkeeper, as he’s played with both Cech and Courtois at Stamford Bridge, before the former joined Arsenal last summer.

“My goalkeeper was a hard choice because there is Petr Cech and Thibaut Courtois who are both very good,” the 28-year-old told the club’s official website. “Cech was the goalkeeper here when I joined and his history with this club is very important, but I’m going to pick both of them as they’re great goalkeepers and I can’t choose!”

The Brazilian international has scored one goal and created 14 chances in three Premier League appearances this term, with a shot accuracy of 67% and an average pass accuracy of 92%, as the Blues have made a solid and unbeaten start under Conte.

Chelsea sit second in the table on 10 points from their opening four games, level with Everton in third and two behind early leaders Manchester City.

Next up for them is a home clash with Liverpool on Friday night, before taking on champions Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the EFL Cup next Tuesday.
