Yaya Toure ready to join Manchester City’s Premier League rivals

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is keen to remain in the Premier League beyond this summer if he does leave the club, with the 32-year-old and his family happy in England.

The colossal Ivory Coast international has seen his future shrouded in doubt in recent months, after it was confirmed in February that Pep Guardiola would replace Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad.

Guardiola and Toure did not see eye to eye during their time together at Barcelona, and many are expecting the latter to move on when the Spanish tactician takes over this summer.

There has been talk of a move to Serie A to join Inter Milan, but the Mirror reports that Toure is keen to stay in England as he and his family are settled after six years in the North West.

Despite receiving lucrative offers from China, according to the report, Toure is prepared to stay in England and look for a new side in the English top flight.

The former Barcelona midfielder has had a fantastic six years in England, but has been heavily criticised for his below-par performances since City lifted the title at the end in the 2013/14 season.

The former Monaco man has racked up 260 appearances across all competitions for City since joining the club in 2010.
