Nice striker Mario Balotelli has outlined how he and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic differ in terms of personality.
Balotelli finally left Liverpool in the summer transfer window as he completed move to Ligue 1 club, Nice, on a free transfer.
The Italian, who scored just one league goal for the Reds in two years, called the decision to sign for Liverpool the worst of his career.
Besides both being represented by superagent Mino Raiola, Balotelli’s high- profile status in football is something he shares with Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, the Italian insists the pair differ in the company they keep.
“Zlatan is someone you can put against lions and he is calm, you put him next to relaxed people and he’s the same. I am not like him. I need to be relaxed and have good people around me,” Balotelli said to Canal+ (via Football Italia).
In his second season on the books at Liverpool, Balotelli signed for AC Milan on loan but scored just one league goal for the Italian giants before returning to Merseyside in the summer.
The Italian made his debut in Ligue 1 for Nice last night and scored two goals in a 3-2 victory over Marseille, with Balotelli earning the Man of the Match award and a place in L’Equipe’s team of the week.
