Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini admits his side are in a “little crisis” and must win their next game in the EFL Cup.
The Red Devils suffered a third consecutive defeat on Sunday, after losing 3 -1 to Walter Mazzarri’s Watford side at Vicarage Road.
Jose Mourinho’s side have come under intense scrutiny for their sudden run of poor form and the players seem unable to halt their current slide in results.
A series of players have come under the spotlight as a result of Sunday’s defeat – which comes after a loss in the Manchester derby and then away at Feyenoord last week – and one of those is Fellaini.
The Belgium international insists his side must now back from Sunday’s loss and win their next game against Northampton Town on Wednesday night.
“We’re in a little crisis because Manchester United cannot lose 3 games,” Fellaini told SFR Sport. “We absolutely have to win the Carling Cup (EFL Cup) game.”
Fellaini has been a regular under Mourinho since the Portuguese tactician took charge of the club, but his performances have left little to smile about in recent days.
