Robin Van Persie’s scored some spectacular goals during his glittering career, so there’s plenty to choose from when it comes to picking the best.
The Holland forward spent 11 years in England and joined Manchester United in a controversial deal in 2012 after eight seasons with rivals Arsenal.
The 33-year-old scored 144 times during his time in the Premier League and his goal against Aston Villa for United in 2013 was awarded the Legends of Football prize last night in a category for the best goal by a player to hit 100 Premier League goals.
Van Persie’s since explained that there was a split in his family over which is his best goal, with his son preferring his goal for Arsenal against Charlton in 2006.

However, Van Persie’s revealed that he prefers his goal against Villa for the Red Devils.
‘I had a chat with my family – my son, my wife and my daughter – about my best-ever goal and we all had different opinions,’ said Van Persie.
‘My son said you have to go for the one against Charlton, I was more leaning toward the one against Villa for Man United, because of the occasion.
‘We won that game, and we won the league so I went for that one.’
