Mario Balotelli‘s cool finish in Nice‘s 4-1 win over Nantes means the Italian striker has now got six goals in his five Ligue 1 matches.
Having moved to Nice in the summer on a free transfer from Liverpool, many were concerned that the forward would once again display the temperament that has cost the 26-year-old at his previous sides.
However playing in France appears agree with Balotelli with the forward in a rich vein of goalscoring form for the Ligue 1 side.
The former Manchester City and AC Milan forward has been used sporadically in the league but when Balotelli does play he gets goals, as his effort on Sunday shows.
Balotelli beat the offside trap to coolly slot home Nice’s second goal against Nantes, before bowing to the home supporters in thanks for their recognition of his finish.
The sixth goal of his season means Balotelli now has triple the amount of league goals for Nice than he had for AC Milan and Liverpool over the last two seasons.
