Jamie Redknapp believes that Chelsea star Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League.
Hazard led Chelsea to the title in 2014/15 through a series of spectacular performances, as he created a division-high 99 chances en route to the PFA Player of the Year award.
The Belgian struggled immensely last term, though, epitomising the Blues’ decline as season-on-season goal tally dropped from 14 to four.
Since the appointment of Antonio Conte this summer, he has already struck eight times in the Premier League, helping Chelsea top the standings.
The Blues are currently six points clear of second-placed Liverpool, having won the last 10 successive games.
Sky pundit Redknapp insists that the west Londoners’ star playmaker is the top match-winner in the country, with his dribbling ability particularly impressive.
The former Liverpool midfielder wrote for the Daily Mail: “Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League. He decides football matches and is back to the form of two years ago.
“He is fit again, hungry again and is making and scoring goals. If you could sign any Premier League player, Hazard is who you would want.
“No one can run with the ball at pace like he does and still have the end product. Hazard is an incredibly gifted player.”
Chelsea’s midweek win over Sunderland marked the only league game Hazard has missed in 2016/17, with the No.10 sidelined through a minor injury.
