Henrikh Mkhitaryan received widespread praise for his goalscoring display in Manchester United‘s 1-1 draw with Rostov in the Europa League.
The midfielder, who had a tough start to life at Old Trafford, has finally hit form and became the first United player to score in three successive European games since Wayne Rooney back in 2010.
However, Mats Hummels hailed Mkhitaryan for an earlier goal for the Red Devils – his stunning effort in a 3-0 victory over Leicester at the King Power Stadium on February 5.
It saw Mkhitayran win his third Goal of the Month award for United on the bounce and Hummels congratulated his former Borussia Dortmund team-mate on Twitter.
Come on, it's like the 8th time you win this. Do they even nominate other players or do you just decide which goal you want to win with? https://t.co/ivun2YwCde
