Chelsea ace Eden Hazard has reportedly told close friends that he will not complete a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer transfer window.
Hazard has had a sensational season for the Blues, scoring 11 goals in 31 appearances, and many are tipping the 26-year-old forward to be named PFA Player of the Year for a second time.
It’s understood Real Madrid have been monitoring the Belgian’s contract situation at Chelsea for a number of months but the La Liga giants have received a blow in their transfer pursuit.
The Telegraph suggest Hazard has already informed friends that he will be staying at the club, adding that he would ‘certainly’ agree to a new deal ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
Chelsea are ready to put a contract offer on the table for Hazard as a result of his barnstorming season in the Premier League under Antonio Conte.
It has been some turnaround for Hazard following a dismal 2015/16 season in which the ex-Lille star only managed four goals in the English top flight.
His team-mate Thibaut Courtois remains on the radar of Madrid.
