Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes that Karim Benzema is a mix of Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman has been continually linked with a move away from Madrid with reports connecting him with Arsenal or a move back to France, but nothing has ever materialised and Benzema remains leading the line for his side.
Benzema has only scored eight goals in 22 La Liga appearances for Real Madrid this season and with manger Zidane keen to boost his attacking options, the future of the former Lyon man has again been questioned.
However, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has praised Benzema and is confident the striker will continue his career at the Spanish giants for the remainder of his time playing.
As reported by ESPN, Perez said:”Karim is a mix of [Zinedine] Zidane and Ronaldo.
“He is the best number nine in the world and the best French player.
“I am convinced that he will stay [at Madrid] and, while now we do not talk about [contract] renewals, if it was up to me, I would keep him here during his whole sporting life.
“I am very happy with Benzema and he has exemplary behaviour.”
The striker was left out of the latest France squad and has been frozen out of the international squad since October 2015 after initially being suspended by the French Football Federation, after it was reported that he was involved in a blackmail case between fellow French footballer Mathieu Valbuena.
Benzema and his team are two points ahead of Barcelona at the top of La Liga, and will hope to complete the double as his side play Bayern Munich in the quarter finals of the Champions League.
