Gary Neville claims Chelsea will be more worried about Manchester City than Tottenham in the Premier League title race this season.
Pep Guardiola’s side failed to capitalise on Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Arsenal on Sunday.
The stalemate has left City 11 points behind Chelsea in the table, while Tottenham only trail Antonio Conte’s side by seven points following their 2-0 win over Burnley.
But while Neville believes City could ‘worry’ Chelsea, the former Manchester United defender believes Guardiola’s player lack the belief required to overtake their rivals.
‘I think he’s [Guardiola] switched off in terms of thinking that his team can win the league this season,’ he told Sky Sports.
‘I think he feels this season is a transition. A journey. They’ll stay in the Champions League places, he’ll try to win the FA Cup.
‘I’m disappointed that they didn’t think to send a message [to Chelsea].
‘I think Chelsea… they will be worried about Tottenham a little bit, but they will be more worried about Manchester City.
‘But they don’t believe it themselves. I don’t think the players think they can win the league this season, but you’ve got to feel it.
‘When you’re hunting someone down you’ve got to feel it – and they don’t feel it.’
