Every player has a pre-match fetish of his own and that include Chelsea captain John Terry who revealed his own ritual of going to the urinals before and after each victory at Stamford Bridge. He is joined by former teammates Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole in the ritual which is causing mass pile-ups before matches, so much so they’ve had complaints from the FA.
However, Chelsea’s urinal-loving squad of superstars have been usurped by the world’s most superstitious footballer, Brazilian oddball Eder Loko who skips the toilet entirely and wets himself for good luck.
Agua Santa’s cult hero was once caught short before a cup semi-final and ended up scoring in his wet kit.
That sopping strike was EIGHT YEARS AGO and he’s still up to his dirty old trick now.
The eccentric said: “When I scored the goal, I was still all wet and smelly down there. After that, I pee every time I’m on the pitch. When it’s raining, it’s really nice.
“I don’t let the camera catch me because I could be sent off. There was a presentation with (ex-referee Oscar Roberto) Godoy and he said the referee could send someone off for that.
“Since I know a lot of people, everyone already knows I pee on the field. The guys make fun of me for it.”
Loko’s team-mates will be wary of taking the pee out of their man too much as he’s also a snake charmer, of sorts.
In another Santa’s match against Linense, the game was held-up due to a South American snake being found on the pitch and scaring the players.
Luckily for them, fast-acting Loko was straight on the scene to kick the poor serpent to death.
So now, before every match in front of the 10,000 fans at the Estadio Distrital do Inamar, Loko kicks a snake and soils himself.
And people say there are no characters left in the game.
