Donnarumma wanted by PSG

PSG are preparing to launch a fresh bid to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma in January.

The Italian youngster has endured a turbulent time at the San Siro as he has been criticised by the Rossoneri fans over his contract situation.
He eventually penned a new deal in 2017 to the end of the 2020/21 season but that has not stopped him from regularly appearing in the gossip columns over a potential move.
The 20-year-old, regarded in Italy by many as the long-term successor to Gianluigi Buffon, has been reported as a potential casualty with Milan keen to improve their squad.
They may also face the wrath of Financial Fair Play if they do not qualify for the Champions League.
The seven-time Champions League winners are currently struggling in Serie A and recently parted company with manager Marco Giampaolo, with Stefano Pioli taking over the reins.
Now, PSG are thought to have been alerted to Donnarumma’s availability and reports in France suggest they could be readying a bid soon.
Despite only signing Keylor Navas from Real Madrid in the summer, the French champions are still searching for a long-term answer in goal.
A fee of around £40million has been mooted though they may also have to include promising youngster Alphonse Areola, who is currently on loan at Real Madrid, in the deal as a sweetener.
That would test PSG’s resolve with FFP also a potential issue if they overspend.
Persuading Donnarumma should not be an issue, with the keeper previously hinting he would look to pastures new if they Milan could not regularly qualify for the Champions League.
