Norwich v Manchester United team news

Struggling Norwich City can move level on points with Manchester United if they claim a victory when the two teams meet at Carrow Road on Sunday. Norwich have failed to register a win in the Premier League since their memorable 3-2 victory over Manchester City last month, although they did end a three-game losing streak and secured their first clean sheet of the season in their goalless draw at Bournemouth last weekend.
The Canaries’ recent dip in form could be put down to a lengthy injury list and Grant Hanley, Timm Klose, Christoph Zimmermann and Ralf Fahrmann all remain on the treatment table.
However, Onel Hernandez and Tom Trybull, who both made their comebacks against Bournemouth, are expected to feature once again on Sunday, despite the former having missed a few days of training earlier in the week.
Ben Godfrey is also available despite limping out of last weekend’s match at the Vitality Stadium after complaining of soreness following his recent hernia surgery.
United will head into the game looking to build on last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool – a result that brought the Merseysiders’ perfect start to the new season to an end.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side followed that result up with a narrow 1-0 victory at Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday, but their record on the road in the Premier League is poor, as they have not won on their travels in the top flight since beating Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in February.
However, United do have an impressive recent record against Norwich, winning five of the last six meetings, while the likes of Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard have returned to the first-team fold of late.
Indeed, the Red Devils appear to have no fresh injury concerns to contend with although Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Luke Shaw and Axel Tuanzebe are all unlikely to feature on Sunday.
