Valverde lost for words as Messi steals the show

Ernesto Valverde says he has run out of words to describe Lionel Messi after he ran the show in Barcelona’s 5-1 win over Real Valladolid. Messi has had a disjointed season so far after being dogged by injury, but looks to be back to his best following a stunning display on Tuesday night.
The Argentina ace scored two goals and set up another two for his team-mates as Barca romped to victory and moved back to the top of the La Liga table.
Valverde was left speechless after the game. “What else can be said about him? I’ve run out of words,” Valverde told reporters. “We always know that he will appear, whatever the match. His talent isn’t comparable to anything; the reality is that every time he touches the ball, something special happens. I just don’t know what to say.”
Valverde also believes there is more to come from Messi as he is not back to his best following his injury problems. “He is getting closer to his best form [after injury], when Leo gets it something bad will happen to the rival,” he added. “He has that talent that nobody has, he escapes anyone and it is not only that he can make an individual play but he does things that nobody sees. “It happens to me sometimes, he does things that are not seen even from the crowd, every day is better.”
Arturo Vidal, Luis Suarez and Clement Lenglet got the other goals for Barca, who are next in action against Levante on Saturday.
