Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan has urged his team to make the Amex a “fortress” by continuing their winning run against Norwich. The Seagulls won just once on their own patch in the second half of last season, March’s 1-0 success against Huddersfield, much to the dismay of those turning up to support them.

Ryan says his side owed their fans a run of performances after last term’s home hoodoo and admits that making it three wins on the spin would further boost the growing air of invincibility when they step out at the Amex. “On the back of last year’s poor form at home closing the season, it was important we turned it around quick to make the Amex a fortress,” Ryan is quoted as saying by The Argus. “We want to take advantage of the fans being here, acting as an extra man for us, and you do that by getting the results. “Having two wins on the bounce against good opponents is a really a big confidence boost for us as a side.”
