McNamara hails Drinkwater return

Catalans Dragons head coach Steve McNamara feels the club have done a great bit of business to bring Josh Drinkwater back. Having had a season with Hull KR last term, Australian Drinkwater is back with the Dragons after putting pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Perpignan-based outfit. The 27-year-old helped the club win its first major piece of silverware back in 2018 when they managed to win the Challenge Cup. McNamara is happy to have the experienced scrum-half back on board and feels Drinkwater is a strong addition to the squad ahead of the 2020 Super League season. “We are happy to welcome Josh back to the Dragons,” he told the club’s official website. “He is a player who knows the team and the area really well after his previous time with us. Our club suits Josh and Josh suits our club, we look forward to the qualities both as a player and a person that we know he will bring.”
